Task Based Learning (TBL)

The task based approach to language learning highlights the adult mind’s ability to analyze, critique, and problem solve. The students start class with a task that pushes the limits of their current ability and sometimes exceeds it. Once they have completed the task to the best of their ability, they are given time to reflect on what they were able to do and what they couldn’t do. Through trainer input, multimedia resources, and follow-up activities, students are able to identify areas for improvement, make the necessary adjustments, and practice until competency is reached.
